For many, school was part of the best times of their lives. Here is where they met their friends, many for life. Here is where they might fondly remember the many school activities that were available. Perhaps it was being a part of a team, being in a play, performing in a band, or being in a special group. Maybe it was that one teacher who stood out and made a difference in their lives. It was all about learning new things and experiencing new challenges. It was about growing up. In reminiscing this nostalgic past, it would be remembered as all happening within a very well defined framework. That included rules that had to be respected or consequences would happen if they were not. The memories of the school system of the past included a degree of strictness that was enforced in many different ways. It was a special time no matter what. You could love it or not. It shaped your values, your goals in life, your future. It was something that everyone experienced.
